Meet the Team

AssistU Director
Brittany Cox Hudson
My name is Brittany Cox Hudson. I'm the owner and director of AssistU.
I played college basketball at Pfeiffer University (D2, inducted into HOF in 2022).
I always planned on being a college coach when I got older. I coached AAU from the 8th grade throughout college in hopes of becoming a college coach. I was blessed with the opportunity coaching at Campbell University but I missed helping high school girls reach their goal of playing at the next level. For the next 6 years, I coached at West Forsyth High School (2019 4A State Champions). I had several players who went on to play college basketball and helped many other kids find opportunities to play at the next level.
I stepped away from coaching after having 2 children but missed the relationships with players. I created AssistU to continue encouraging and helping kids reach their dream of playing at the collegiate level.

AssistU Recruiting Coach
Jill Dunn
With 25 years of collegiate coaching experience, Jill Dunn has joined AssistU. Most recently, she served as head coach at Johnson & Wales Charlotte, where she guided the Wildcats to consecutive USCAA Division II National Runner-Up finishes in 2022-23
and 2023-24. Over four years, she garnered a 60-28 record and was recognized as the USCAA National Coach of the Year for 2021-2022.
Prior to her tenure at Charlotte, Dunn was an Assistant Coach at Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2013-14 season. There, she contributed to the Rams achieving a 22-10 record and earning a berth in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
From 2004 to 2013, Dunn served as Head Coach at Jacksonville University, becoming the program’s all-time winningest coach with 126 victories. Her accomplishments included notable wins over the University of Florida, University of Miami (FL), and Wake Forest University. Under her leadership, the Dolphins reached the ASUN Conference Finals three times and recorded back-to-back 20-win seasons in 2006-07 and 2007-08. Significantly, every player coached by Dunn during her Jacksonville tenure successfully completed their degrees.
Dunn's earlier career includes three years as an assistant coach at Georgia State University (2001-2004), where the Panthers captured three ASUN titles and made two NCAA tournament appearances. She also held assistant coaching positions at Miami University (OH) (2000-01) and the University of South Carolina (1994-1997).
Dunn was Head Coach at Western Carolina University for the 1999-2000 season,
leading the Catamounts to a double-digit win campaign after serving as an assistant
coach the previous year.
A native of Dalton, GA, Dunn distinguished herself as a student-athlete at Georgia Southern University. A member of the Georgia Southern Hall of Fame, she ranks second in career three-point percentage (36.6%) and holds top rankings in assists (fifth,
318), steals (eleventh, 164), and three-pointers made (thirteenth, 120). In 1993, she was named to the Southern Conference All-Tournament Team, played a pivotal role in the Eagles’ conference championship and subsequent NCAA tournament appearance, and was honored as GSU Female Athlete of the Year.
